Bradford Girls' Grammar School review by University of Cambridge student: When I was at Bradford Girls' Grammar School (BGGS) class sizes were good (about 20 per class), the school's strengths were in every area except geography and music (music suffered from a lack of facilities). It does emphasize exams, but I have therefore been well-prepared for the English university system which does the same. History was particularly well taught, with an emphasis on background information for a better understanding. The faculty were open and accessible, as I know some people who had family problems or eating disorders were given very sensitive and helpful care from the teachers. The work load was heavy but practical and prepared me well for Cambridge. The student body itself was very competitive, but in a healthy dosage. read more »
