Milton Academy review by Georgetown University student.
Academics at Milton Academy are unparralled. As it is particularly strong in the humanities, the English and history classes offered are intense and comparable to intro classes at the college level. Class size varies from 10-15. Across the board, faculty are caring and are eager to help students learn in any way that they can (though there is occasionally an exception here and there). Milton also hosts a plethora of lectures. Its many endowed programs and lecture series often bring world-class scholars to campus, including in more recent years: Paul Muldoon, Claire Messud, Zadie Smith, Alan Dershowitz, and the likes. Research opportunities are abundant in the liberal arts classes and a long research paper is required of every student in the U.S. History course. On the math and science side, however, self-initiative for research projects is recommended.

For the interview, dress conservatively. Try to be very clean and put together. Also, I was a tour guide for two years and at the end of every tour, we were asked to evaluate the candidate so if you think the tour is not apart of the process, you are very wrong. Ask questions and be interested. Also, tip for the parents: the kids speak on the tour. Do not ask their questions for them...
Most younger siblings have an easy time in the admissions process. I can only think of one case of a younger sibling not being admitted. About half of the students who entered with me had come from public schools. The remainder came from private K-6 schools, or had transferred from other New York private schools The Elizabeth Morrow School and St. Bernard were two of the larger feeder schools...
Quality of life at Milton is great. The best part about is the interaction with faculty beyond the classroom and the experience of being a boarder. Sit-down dinners three times a week are great, as I frequently interacted with people in my dorm I wouldn't have otherwise talked to. The dorm is essentially student's home away from home. They are the place in which great and lasting friendships are made. Dorm mates are supportive of one another and the activities and traditions of each dorm foster a real sense of community. There is almost always a list of social events....
