Tabor Academy review by Princeton University student.
Tabor is a great school for Academics offering programs of study in almost any field you could think of ranging from history and the social sciences to numerous languages and also a state of the art department in marine science. Tabor also has great sports programs many of which compete on the national stage although Tabor's arts departments are a bit lacking in my view. The student body at Tabor is not very competitive overall although in the top quintile students may get grade conscious to a slight extent. The faculty are very involved and are extremely accessible for extra help outside of the classroom as most of them live right on campus in the dormitories.

Also, I was a tour guide for two years and at the end of every tour, we were asked to evaluate the candidate so if you think the tour is not apart of the process, you are very wrong. Ask questions and be interested. Also, tip for the parents: the kids speak on the tour. Do not ask their questions for them...
Most younger siblings have an easy time in the admissions process. I can only think of one case of a younger sibling not being admitted. About half of the students who entered with me had come from public schools. The remainder came from private K-6 schools, or had transferred from other New York private schools The Elizabeth Morrow School and St. Bernard were two of the larger feeder schools...
I'd say that the quality of life at Tabor is better than most other New England boarding schools from my conversations with friends who attended other schools in the region. The dormitories are very nice and quite comfortable to live in. The dining services are by far better than most other prep schools and on par with Princeton. Most students at Tabor are very sociable and one will fit in very easily irrespective of where one's from or one's background. Tabor ensures that the weekends are packed with fun activities from trips to Boston and Providence for ball games or....
